We escort ALL of our cruises - for this reason, we are occasionally out of the office and unavailable to quickly respond to emails and telephone calls. Upcoming dates we will be out of the office while escorting a cruise or visiting our cruise departure ports to finalize pre-cruise arrangements are November 18 through November 29, 2010.
Winner of the 23rd Annual Cruise-A-Thon's "Greatest Group Hits" award!

Upcoming ESCORTED QUILTING cruises for 2011 and 2012 include Alaska, the Mexican Riviera, and HAWAII!!! In celebration of our 20th quilting cruise, Quilt Camp at Sea will host a special "Collector's Voyage Cruise" in 2012 that will combine BOTH the 2012 Mexican Riviera and 2012 Hawaii sailings for a spectacular 21-Day sailing - you may register for either of the two cruises or join us for the combined sailing at a discounted rate! We are sailing exclusively aboard Holland America Line's vista class ships for ALL of our quilting cruises - our quilters LOVE the classroom situation......three great classrooms with large windows in each!
We have a quilter booked on our 2012 Hawaii cruise who are interested in sharing her category K inside stateroom with another quilter. We also have a quilter on the 2012 Mexican Riviera cruise who has an ocean view category D and would like to share with another quilter. Please contact us for more information at 360-455-9926 or by email at QuiltersAlaskanCruises@comcast.net and for the opportunity to discuss these opportunities with the other quilter.
For detailed information about our upcoming QUILTING cruises, please see the links below:
In order to participate in the quilting classes and attend the group sponsored activities on Quilt Camp at Sea cruises, you must book your cruise directly with Quilt Camp at Sea. We are no longer able to make any exceptions to this policy.
Special guests on Quilt Camp at Sea's QUILTING cruises in 2011 include author Earlene Fowler and artist Jody Houghton; our QUILTING cruises in 2012 will include a Mexican Riviera cruise with artist Jody Houghton and author Terri Thayer, a NEW!! Hawaii cruise with special guest Judith Baker Montano and our VERY EXCITING 2012 Collector's cruise that will include both the 2012 Mexican Riviera AND 2012 Hawaii cruises with Jody Houghton, Terri Thayer, and Judith Baker Montano!!
When you sail with Quilt Camp at Sea, the only "surprises" are the numerous door prizes and gift items our guests receive during each cruise! In addition to the fabulous meals, beverages, snacks, entertaining shows, and onboard events provided by the cruise line, our upcoming escorted QUILTING cruises feature:
TOP OF THE LINE BERNINA or JANOME sewing machines with TWO sewing machine vendor representatives sailing on every cruise to provide classroom assistance and support
SMALL quilting classes with nationally recognized instructors (10-15 maximum average in each class instead of 20 or more) so you will have plenty of one on one time with your instructor
Comprehensive and PRE-CUT kits for classes provided at the beginning of your class
Exciting special guests and lecturers
Large cutting mats and irons are available in each classroom (and the classrooms feature large windows for viewing the spectacular scenery outside!!) and a sewing station supply set featuring Clover products with basic supplies (sewing pins and pin cushion, seam ripper, ruler, and finger presser) will be available on each 2011 and 2012 cruise Regrettably, due to liability insurance requirements, we are unable to provide scissors or rotary cutters for shared use so quilters will need to bring these on the cruises.
ALL of our quilting cruises have pre-arranged GROUP early dinner seating together (5:45 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. depending on the cruise itinerary). OUR GUESTS ARE SEATED WITH OTHERS IN OUR GROUP! Our guests DO have the option of requesting the late dinner seating (at 8:00 p.m.) but, please note that guests requesting the late dinner seating may miss evening sessions of classes, lectures, and special guests' presentations and we are unable to guarantee you will be seated with others in our group.
All of Quilt Camp at Sea's QUILTING cruises in 2011 and 2012 will sail exclusively aboard Holland America Line's ms. Oosterdam. Please see our link "Ship Info" for details about the ship. If you would like to receive a PDF copy of the deck plans for this ship, please send an email to Quilt Camp at Sea's quilting/cruise coordinator at QuiltersAlaskanCruises@comcast.net. Please put "Deck Plan Request" in the header of your email.
ALL Quilt Camp at Sea QUILTING cruises feature sewing machines!!! We DO NOT advertise or promote a cruise as a "QUILTING CRUISE" unless sewing machines are available for QUILTING classes!! Occasionally, at the request of quilters who have sailed on several cruises with us, Quilt Camp at Sea does organize a SPECIAL EVENT cruise to destinations where structured quilting classes would not be possible due to limited time at sea, numerous port city visits, and/or limited availability of classroom space aboard the ship for sewing machines When we organize a SPECIAL EVENT cruise, we clearly indicate in all promotional materials that the cruise is a SPECIAL EVENT cruise and will not feature quilting classes! However, even these escorted SPECIAL EVENT cruises (like our Christmas Market Cruise in 2007) feature pre-cruise sailing social gatherings, cocktail parties during the cruise, dinner seating together as a group, a quilting project as a memento of the cruise (or other gift items for the many non-quilting guests sailing with us), and the camaraderie that makes EVERY Quilt Camp at Sea cruise a special event!
These are just a few of the reasons so many quilters and their family members return year after year (see our "Testimonials" link above for a few of the comments from some of the quilters and non-quilters who have sailed on several cruises with us)!!
You can see what you missed in 2009 and 2010 (including the opportunity to win or receive more than $13,000.00 in gifts and prizes that were distributed during EACH cruise!!) by visiting the links below...
Each Quilt Camp at Sea quilting cruise is unique and features classes with inspiring nationally recognized and award winning instructors, and all cruises feature our popular "Quilt 'til You Wilt" sessions, entertaining and informative lectures or special presentations during the cruise, and often feature optional "Pied Piper" excursions to quilt shops in Alaska or pre-cruise shop hops in San Diego in addition to the exciting shows and entertainment offered aboard Holland America Line's luxurious cruise ships! Non-quilters are ALWAYS welcome to join us and receive a discounted rate.
