Our 2009 Alaska cruise guests had the opportunity to win over $12,000.00 in prizes including the class project samples donated by the instructors as Grand Prizes, the $250.00 future travel gift certificate (won by Martha Wolf), and the Cruise Memory Quilt (won by Jayne Donnell)!!  Some of the "Quilters Only" Grand Prize winners included Wanda Dupre (winner of the Janome Platinum Jem), Sharon Christie (winner of the AccuCut GO! Cutter), Mary Strickland (winner of the Fabumotion Free Motion Table), Mattie Brockoff (winner of the Aurifil thread set), Nancy Hattendorf (winner of the Quilter's Survival Set), and Norada Shanafelt (winner of the From Marti gift set)!! EVERY quilter on the cruise won at least ONE prize during our daily prize drawings (in addition to the class and lecture prizes and the Grand Prizes)!!  Quality Sewing and Vacuum (with 12 locations throughout Western Washington) provided the Pfaff sewing machines for this cruise and The Quilting Bee was the onboard quilt shop vendor!!  The block challenge winners from the 2009 Alaska Quilt Camp at Sea cruise (listed alphabetically) were:  Janet Bottroff, Beckie Daniels, Jayne Donnell, Francie Hindman, Vi Leonard, Mary Lillegard, Nancy Noah, Kathleen Simmons, Brooke Tupper, and Elaine Wibben - CONGRATULATIONS ladies!!!  Their blocks, created from Jody Houghton's Sisterhood of Quilters fabric by Northcott/Monarch will be featured in the cruise memory quilt on the 2010 Sisterhood of Quilters Cruise and the remaining blocks will be made into quilts to be donated to Project Linus!
